There have been so many inquiries about upcoming workshops…well, here is an update!

All of the details are below. You will see a “Wedding Workshop” below as well…please check back at the end of the week for more details on that one – it is a “real” wedding :) and there are only 4 spots! This is an amazing couple that is allowing us to do this, and hopefully you will meet them later this week!  I have so many plans!!

In the next week or so, I will release dates and sign-ups for …..

Group Trash the Dress!! I have made this famous in GR …and I have some girls who are dying to try it!  You know we really don’t trash them….we just go to really cool places and wear all the funky things with your dress that you wish ‘mother’ approved of!   It will be in May, with a limit of 5 ladies, including makeup, hair, and video by Coastline Studios! If you sign up the day I release the date, you will receive your images on a disc for free! Please stay tuned to the blog or check my Lisa Kae Photograhy Fan Facebook page for details soon!  Don’t worry- I will post them in both places!

Spring Mini Sessions!! We will be taking our furniture outside again! I will be scheduling a day of studio mini sessions in May as well!   Look for this later in the week!

Oh the fun never stops!

I find myself falling in love with each wedding I shoot for different reasons….this one ~ Liz.  I adored her sense of style and her splash of color throughout her day, and her adorable personality….and that’s only the beginning of the day!  They were married at Fountain Street Church and their reception was at the EVE, on top of the BOB.  A giant thanks to Aletha of Pearls Events for bringing this event together, you did a fabulous job :)  Also, thanks to Leda of LVL Photography for shooting with me!  I think my favorites below will speak for themselves!!

I had so much fun with these two! We spent the whole afternoon finding great places. Special thanks to my brother in law for pointing me to the most fabulous antique warehouse downtown…my trips to Indy will never be the same :) How fabulous did these two do?! I always tell my couples..my job is only 50% of your session, the other half is all you! My best sessions with couples are when they are completely as ease with each other. I love so many of these photos – it was hard to choose. I hope you enjoy these! **happy friday**
Thery’re were a gazillion of these hanging picture viewfinders in the entryway—so fun!

**this was more complicated than it looks ! **

Yes – they’re wedding date is 9-11….

thank you Borders…even though you closed when we walked in the door :)  they let us stay!

*notice all the lights are green in relation to where I’m standing – yea – lots of honking at me :)

The one day I was home during a long vacation, I shot 2 sessions…this was one of them :) Meet the Whipple’s. They currently live near Philly and were in town visiting family. You see, Kyle, (dad) was one of my brothers really great childhood friends, and I was great friends with his sister, and we were at their house most days after school for at least a year or two…at least that’s what I remember. The amazing power of facebook, has brought us back into contact :) It was fabulous to meet Kyle’s entire family, aren’t they adorable? …and hear what they’ve been doing the past 15 years! It’s crazy how much happens…kinda makes me feel old. Here are a few (a gazillion) of my faves :)

woa….I feel like I have been out town forEVER~ and am digging myself out of my pile of emails and voicemails….thanks for being patient :)

Here is the beautiful wedding of an adorable couple who currently live in California.  Kelli loves Yoga, so even without the west coast scenery, they decided to start their day with some relaxation…and it was..*did you know the room temp is kept at like 78 degress and hotter for other classes??  hotness ;)    I loved the Salon Kelli picked…. not only for their beauty skillz…but they had a ton of  WINDOWS..and great colorful decor!!  Any photog knows, that’s not always the case, and it was refreshing.  I love the room Kelli got ready in because I was able to hang her dress in the shutters of the windows – and it looked Californian.

I adored the flowers Kelli found on Etsy for her hair ~ best I’ve seen.  I had the fabulous Kelly Braman shooting with me and took on the ‘boys’  - we had a ton of fun shooting together – thanks Kelli!   How cute is the antique car Kelli reserved for their getaway?!  I’m pretty sure it was a surprise…Brian works for BMW, so he has a little car thing goin’ on :)  Kelli is a senior accountant…so I thought money would make a great ring shot – thanks to the guest who graciously handed me a $100 bill **that I promised to return** …and i did*  The last dancing photo is a tribute to Kelli..breaking it down, I love when brides and grooms just enjoy their night dancing….and Kelli take the cake on this one!  Enjoy the crazy amount of photos I chose below….

Well….yes, the blog is still alive ~ even though I haven’t posted in over a month :( I was plagued with a little H1N1, not a great time to be slowed down…but I think I may have recovered!

I new I was going to like Tracy before I met her… from all of our emails and phone conversations. It was so great to shoot Tracy and her family, look at them…aren’t they fabulous! *and her puppy is cute too! I can’t wait to meet their little one :) Here are a few of my favorites….

Oh Chicago ~ how I love thee….

November 16th, 2009 , Posted in bridal, wedding

Not that I don’t love Grand Rapids- I do…but when you’re looking for different places to shoot and the per capita of photographers here…well, that doesn’t leave much! So Chicago – as well as many other cities…put me into visual overload and I love every minute of it! So when Kristen wanted a Trash the Dress session…(aka-”you spent way to damn much on that dress to only wear it once” session :) I immediately volunteered to shoot in Chicago where she lives!! You can see we found fabulous locations and yummy light ….an afternoon of perfecta for Kristen’s dynamite modeling skillz….enjoy a taste of my favorites ~

ps…you CAN’T miss all her fabulous shoes….even on the taxi!

Here is her SLIDESHOW **CLICK HERE**
