Compassion….

So….I usually try to keep my personal stuff off of the blog….but as life goes, it tends to spill over at some points, and this is one of them. My husband and I went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to shoot a destination wedding and many of you have asked how our trip was…..as you can see below the resort was quite luxurious….although, our last day there, we spent visiting a little girl named Luisa, who we just started supporting through Compassion a few months ago. This was an amazing experience and deserved a slideshow with some compelling text. If it makes you uncomfortable….good, hopefully to take action. It surely has caused Tim and I to, again, rethink choices we’re making…..I would love your feedback – not on my photos….but on how this reforms your thinking. I hope to return soon.

Wow…you have left me speechless. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Such an encouragement to see the beautiful faces that the money provides for…But such a reminder, especially as the holidays draw near that we have so much to be thankful for and that we really need so little of what we want and already have…there is much greater need all around us!!!!

    Lisa,
I’ll admit it, I follow your blog very often :) I love to see the happiness in the faces of your subjects and the beautiful way you capture them. I’m so glad you did this post. It is easy to get wrapped up in our own lives , in our challenges, that we forget that they pale in comparison to those of others. Thank you for inspiring me to find ways to help. I’m so glad I’ve met you for so many reasons :)

Lisa, Corey and I sponsor a little boy from Rwanda and love the program that Compassion provides. We will likely only ever have the opportunity to communicate with him via letters, but your video is so powerful and such amazing proof that our money is dedicated and utilized to better these children’s lives. Awesome, awesome, awesome……..thank you.
