Oh yes, I said published!! This is so exciting ~ because really in the past two insane years, my business has taken off, I have hardly had a minute to *think* let alone – sort through gazillions of amazing wedding images to submit for publishing. But it is so fun to see your work in a magazine. It’s a new publication just about Michigan Photographers! The one thing I know is that this mag will always have amazing photos…It’s called ” In Frame” , they have a website, where you can have a free copy mailed to you, and it’s being passed out at many bridal events & shows throughout the state. They featured 38 of michigan’s top photographers…glad to be one! They featured a fabulous wedding I shot of Keith & Amanda and shared their adorable story! They also featured a ttd photo of Beth in the snow….that was a fun *freezing* shoot, big props to Beth on that one! And also a few details of a cake, purse, and shoe shots on the middle and bottom of the last page…the copies are below!

Rock that OCF

April 7th, 2009 , Posted in commercial, wedding, workshops

what a fabulous workshop!! I didn’t teach I actually attended! Lindsey DeYoung and I hosted a workshop at our studio, that Ali Hohn flew in and taught us!!! It was so fun to learn this lighting technique. We did it the entire weekend…so I am pretty sure I’ve got it down! The first five pics were taken in full sun! and the rest (except the sunset ones…) were all shot during daylight in well lit areas! Here are the fabulous results…way too many favorites!

workshop | bootcamp updates…..

March 27th, 2009 , Posted in commercial, workshops

Just a little update here…I know it’s still more than month away, but I keep getting questions on what will be covered and how many spots are left…so here we go!

I have 5 openings left for the beginners basic, and 3 spots left for the advanced workshop! I thought the advanced was fuller, but some of those were beginners! There is only 10 attendees max in each class!

To help explain what will be offered in my workshops, I have finally finished the workshop site! If you go to my new homepage (lisakaephotography), you will see a link on the bottom right hand corner of the page that says workshops! In order to reserve your place~ you must go to my blog and pay for your admission under the payment drop down box.

**after the may class, my advanced class with be going up in price! Thanks!

Also **I have a new facebook group for Lisa Kae Photography and there is a discussion forum on there as well! So if you are a past workshop attendee looking to connect with each others from your class, please check that out. It allows you to post pictures as well (just make sure you watermark it!)

Please let me know if you know ANYONE who has a new baby and is patient! I am looking to shoot these anytime in the next two weeks, during the day at my studio or in their home if they have enough light. I can’t wait to try out some new things!

forgot to add **there is no session fee! …and prints will be available at my normal portrait pricing!

Tattooed Brides….I want a woman with a ton of tattoos and / or sleeves…..and I will find her a wedding dress! Please let me know if you know anybody! Thanks!

….and I leave you with a few new marketing pieces that have developed from the new logo and tagline~ it’s been kind of fun! The first one is the front of the card….and then all the different variations are below. Fun Fun! I am loving it!

Bless You Boys….

January 22nd, 2009 , Posted in commercial

Chris from “Bless You Boys” contacted me about shooting their band….of course I jumped at that. You may have heard their music on X 96.1 and if you haven’t go check them out on their website or grab one of their album on iTunes. They even have a free download of the song you’ve probably heard of…”Tina Fey Glasses”. They will be in concert again at the end of the month…you should go and check ‘em out, I’ll definitely be at one. A HUGE thanks to Ryan Prins, who i instantly asked him to help me out on this one. Despite our ‘electronical’ issues…you wouldn’t believe them all if we told you~seriously….I loved the way they turned out. Here are a few of the favs…and I’m sure you’ll see a few more on their site, check it out!
Next showtimes…..Intersection Jan 30th, BOB Feb 12th, Billy’s Feb 19th

She could totally be a gap model!! Thanks for helping me ladies..(although it was hardly work for you!!)

**to all of my clients…I don’t plan on offering this yet.
