Oh you know we had fun….just cause we were in CHICAGO!!! I love that city! We started off at their house in Lincoln Park and then ventured downtown to Lightology, a super creative store with a gorgeous rooftop deck. I seriously could have spent a few hours in that store….they even had a purple lit room! Then we went to more fabulous places with lots of color and texture….not hard to find in Chicago! I am usually so overwhelmed, it’s hard to choose! What a great close to the day to end around sunset with the beach and skyline….what a perfect session. **Jennifer get major bonus points for wearing an amazing dress and heels! I can’t wait to see you two again in September!

I cannot wait to shoot Aaron & Kara’s destination wedding on the New Jersey shore this fall! They met in Grand Rapids while attending school and now live in Kalamazoo…but Kara is from New Jersey originally. We started around downtown and then headed to a local carnival. I think these images are so fun..and you can tell in these who has the most energy (kara ) Tim (or timmy – as I call him) my hubby came and shot this session with me, as he shoots with me when he can and since he shoots all my destination weddings with me, I thought it would be great for him to meet Aaron & Kara at their session. We had a BLAST! ….and yes, I’m sorry Aaron, I had to include the yawning picture….only because you promised you were having as much fun as the rest of us!! Hope you two enjoy your preview!

They met in Ann Arbor at U of M and now live in St. Louis. They are getting married in Grand Rapids this July! I shot their engagement session on one of the last gorgeous days of fall a few months ago…and realized I never blogged it! There are obviously more sessions than I could ever blog…but I loved traveling around the city with them and I have a ton of favorites. And yes….the last picture is a GIANT ball pit – for adults! My lab thought I photoshopped them in! St. Louis has an amazing museum..the bus they’re sitting in, is hanging over the side of the building…safely of course! Hope you enjoy these too!

I had so much fun with these two! We spent the whole afternoon finding great places. Special thanks to my brother in law for pointing me to the most fabulous antique warehouse downtown…my trips to Indy will never be the same How fabulous did these two do?! I always tell my couples..my job is only 50% of your session, the other half is all you! My best sessions with couples are when they are completely as ease with each other. I love so many of these photos – it was hard to choose. I hope you enjoy these! **happy friday**

So, I did post this a few days ago…but my blog was acting up and deleted it?! These are a sampling of the great time I had shooting at my workshops last weekend at the new studio!!! I had so much fun meeting all of you and know you all walked away with a little more knowledge and inspiration! Because these workshops are so popular – and already have inquiries for the next one – I have one more planned this year and will not have another until spring.

The next will be *basic* November 6th @ 2-7p and *advanced* november 7th @9-6p sign up is on the blog, under payments!

**On another note — I have been asked by a few to do “portfolio” workshops, or trash the dress workshops….so I would like to present the idea and see what serious interest I have. Here’s the deal – it would be similar to the video on my wedding site. We would have 5 brides (real & models), professional bobbi brown make-up & hair, and as always – fabulous *sometimes risky* locations to shoot, with guaranteed individual time with each model. I will arrange everything, you just show up and shoot! Why? **these are my favorite! Cost ~ $350 *max 7 photogs – no exceptions – *this will need to be paid at the time of sign up – I will not save spots….Sign up is not available yet – but I would like you to email me if you’re interested….and we’ll go from there. Possible dates are September 27th or October 18th *I always do these on sunday because most places I would like to shoot are not being used.
