So….I usually try to keep my personal stuff off of the blog….but as life goes, it tends to spill over at some points, and this is one of them. My husband and I went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to shoot a destination wedding and many of you have asked how our trip was…..as you can see below the resort was quite luxurious….although, our last day there, we spent visiting a little girl named Luisa, who we just started supporting through Compassion a few months ago. This was an amazing experience and deserved a slideshow with some compelling text. If it makes you uncomfortable….good, hopefully to take action. It surely has caused Tim and I to, again, rethink choices we’re making…..I would love your feedback – not on my photos….but on how this reforms your thinking. I hope to return soon.

Well, here is a blog post with 4 sessions in one…two fabulous families, a great group of kids, and a senior. As many of you know, you will not find a family gallery on my website…because I don’t shoot just “family” sessions…..here are some great examples of the candid type of family photos that I DO like to shoot.

The girls in a dress….they’re mom is donating her dress to group of woman over in Africa who will make a business out of renting american wedding dresses to others. She wanted to get some pics taken before she sent it…this is what we got! ….and a couple group shots.

This is john, amy, and their adorable daughter Alexa….who just turned 1. Isn’t she a doll! Wow John, you’d better have a good plan for when the boys come knockin’!! John is the videographer of Coastline Studios…that just shot my TTD today…more on that later!

I recently spent some time with these two fabulous boys….who were a blast you can see! Never a dull moment. We did get some adorable ones together, but I had already picked out so many, I had to skip those for the blog….

What a cutie!! I saw him last year around 3 months…he has gotten so big! I really enjoyed seeing you guys again. Enjoy your preview! Your gallery should be up by tonight. This session was at the studio ( the one I shared with 6 other photogs)….but tonight I will be moving into a NEW one!!!! More on that later….

Little zoe….what an adorable little girl…great personality! She loved my hide and seek games…which is good, because sometimes I get those “she’s crazy” looks..yes, even from a 1 yr old!! I met her parents a while back and shot her uncle’s wedding in Ann Arbor last September. They now live in Miami…but they were in town and we got to spend a short 30 minutes together…and what great results…here are a few of my favorites!

My assistant (and good friend) Betsy…brought in her daughter, so I could try out all my new toys. I have a commercial shoot in Chicago coming up…more on that later… Isn’t she gorgeous!! We did these in about 15 minutes and with me still trying to figure it out…I love them (except that I cut her feet off in most…but I wasn’t looking at that, just the lighting! She could totally be a gap model!! Thanks for helping me ladies..(although it was hardly work for you!!)
