I had so much fun with these two! We spent the whole afternoon finding great places. Special thanks to my brother in law for pointing me to the most fabulous antique warehouse downtown…my trips to Indy will never be the same How fabulous did these two do?! I always tell my couples..my job is only 50% of your session, the other half is all you! My best sessions with couples are when they are completely as ease with each other. I love so many of these photos – it was hard to choose. I hope you enjoy these! **happy friday**

The one day I was home during a long vacation, I shot 2 sessions…this was one of them Meet the Whipple’s. They currently live near Philly and were in town visiting family. You see, Kyle, (dad) was one of my brothers really great childhood friends, and I was great friends with his sister, and we were at their house most days after school for at least a year or two…at least that’s what I remember. The amazing power of facebook, has brought us back into contact It was fabulous to meet Kyle’s entire family, aren’t they adorable? …and hear what they’ve been doing the past 15 years! It’s crazy how much happens…kinda makes me feel old. Here are a few (a gazillion) of my faves

woa….I feel like I have been out town forEVER~ and am digging myself out of my pile of emails and voicemails….thanks for being patient

Here is the beautiful wedding of an adorable couple who currently live in California. Kelli loves Yoga, so even without the west coast scenery, they decided to start their day with some relaxation…and it was..*did you know the room temp is kept at like 78 degress and hotter for other classes?? hotness I loved the Salon Kelli picked…. not only for their beauty skillz…but they had a ton of WINDOWS..and great colorful decor!! Any photog knows, that’s not always the case, and it was refreshing. I love the room Kelli got ready in because I was able to hang her dress in the shutters of the windows – and it looked Californian.

I adored the flowers Kelli found on Etsy for her hair ~ best I’ve seen. I had the fabulous Kelly Braman shooting with me and took on the ‘boys’ - we had a ton of fun shooting together – thanks Kelli! How cute is the antique car Kelli reserved for their getaway?! I’m pretty sure it was a surprise…Brian works for BMW, so he has a little car thing goin’ on Kelli is a senior accountant…so I thought money would make a great ring shot – thanks to the guest who graciously handed me a $100 bill **that I promised to return** …and i did* The last dancing photo is a tribute to Kelli..breaking it down, I love when brides and grooms just enjoy their night dancing….and Kelli take the cake on this one! Well….yes, the blog is still alive ~ even though I haven’t posted in over a month I was plagued with a little H1N1, not a great time to be slowed down…but I think I may have recovered!

I new I was going to like Tracy before I met her… from all of our emails and phone conversations. It was so great to shoot Tracy and her family, look at them…aren’t they fabulous! *and her puppy is cute too! I can’t wait to meet their little one Here are a few of my favorites….

Not that I don’t love Grand Rapids- I do…but when you’re looking for different places to shoot and the per capita of photographers here…well, that doesn’t leave much! So Chicago – as well as many other cities…put me into visual overload and I love every minute of it! So when Kristen wanted a Trash the Dress session…(aka-”you spent way to damn much on that dress to only wear it once” session I immediately volunteered to shoot in Chicago where she lives!! You can see we found fabulous locations and yummy light ….an afternoon of perfecta for Kristen’s dynamite modeling skillz….enjoy a taste of my favorites ~

ps…you CAN’T miss all her fabulous shoes….even on the taxi!

I adore Abby and her family. Her daughters are adorable. We first met when she attended my FIRST paid wedding….(James & Lisa) and then called me for portrait work. They live in Auburn Hills, and we have done a few sessions here in GR as my studios change, and have done a few on their side of the state. This may be my favorite yet! I think you’re still in Disney World…but here is your preview!

*You get a 30 minute session, 1 digital negative for christmas cards with full reproduction rights and a discount on all my normal portrait prices.

If you just have to have more time than that…please let me know so we can get your session scheduled ASAP. Any session scheduled after Thanksgiving will not be able to get any prints or digital negative before Christmas….

If you loved my last session…but wanted a little more edge…this is the family. Heather tells me on the phone “I am going to wear my hair all messy and bring a corset and a bright cocktail dress…” ..and I said….”I’m IN!!!” Their little man had sweet leather bomber jacket he was going to wear shirtless, but it was a bit hot, so we left it off! I had so much fun shooting in Florida, there are so many bright walls and color everywhere. Here are a few of my faves!
